Low Carb Protein Patty

My goal this month is to find more healthy, low-carb meals to cook. I adapted this recipe from EatWell101. I couldn’t believe how simple it was to make.

Step by Step Instructions

Begin by dumping all the ingredients, except the butter and oil, in a mixing bowl and combine well.

Next, form the mixture into 4 flat patties.

Heat the butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Then cook the turkey patties in the skillet until the meat is cooked through.

As you can see, I may have had the heat a bit too high. Regardless of the burnt appearance, they tasted amazing. I ate them plain with no dipping sauce or condiments. The flavor was amazing, with just the right amount of spice. If I weren’t trying to do low-carb right, these turkey patties would have been excellent on a burger bun or roll.

Cooked turkey patty, kidney beans and sweet peas on a plate.

Enjoy!
