Easy, Cheesy Dinner in under 30 minutes

One-pot pasta Ingredients

I am such a lazy cook. Don’t get me wrong; I love to cook. I just don’t want to spend hours preparing a meal and then even more time cleaning up my mess. The less time it takes to prepare a meal, the better. And the fewer dishes it takes to make said meal makes it a win-win. For this reason, one-pot meals are a repeat dish in our house. While searching for easy one-pot recipes, I came across this recipe at Sugarapron.

Step-by-Step Instructions for One-Pot Kielbasa Pasta

Begin by dicing the onions and slicing the turkey into coin-sized pieces. I prefer to use Turkey Polska kielbasa sausage by Hillshire Farm. You can use beef sausage or your favorite sausage; just be sure it is pre-cooked and ready to eat. This recipe has a short cooking time, so the meat you select must be pre-cooked.

Heat the olive oil in a large pot and add the onions. Sauté the onions until translucent. Then, add the sliced turkey coins.

Add the garlic, bone broth, diced tomatoes, pasta, and heavy cream. You can substitute chicken broth for bone broth. I have made it both ways, but I prefer the bone broth because it adds more flavor.

Simmer for 15 minutes, or until the pasta is tender. We prefer to use Farfalle (or bowtie pasta) for this recipe because of its texture. It cooks well and retains its firmness.

One-pot Pasta and sausage in large stock pot

Once the pasta is tender and cooked to your liking, stir in half of the shredded cheese. Then top the pasta with the remaining cheese and cover with a lid. Allow it to stand for a few minutes so the cheese on top melts.

Enjoy!!! One-Pot Kielbasa Pasta
