Delicious, Tangy, and Tender Crockpot Chicken
This Italian shredded chicken recipe is so easy to make and absolutely delicious. It will fill your house with the most amazing aromas while it cooks; you will be watching the clock waiting for it to be ready. I am such a huge fan of this recipe that I found at BeyerBeware. I have made this recipe several times, and it is consistently good.
The first step is to place the chicken in the crockpot and cover it with one packet of Italian seasonings salad dressing & recipe mix. The original recipe calls for two packets, but I have found that one packet is enough.
Next, pour the entire jar of mild banana peppers over the seasoned chicken.
Then cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8 hours.
Remove chicken from the crockpot, use two forks to shred the chicken.
Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot to rewarm and soak up the juices.
That’s it! The Italian Shredded Chicken is ready to be served. I like to eat this as-is with a side of veggies. You can serve over pasta or make sliders. You can use the leftovers as a savory addition to a salad, which is my favorite way to eat the leftovers.

Ingredients
3-4 boneless chicken breasts
One packet of Good Seasonings Italian seasonings salad dressing & recipe mix
One 12-oz jar of mild banana peppers
Directions
- Place chicken in the crockpot and cover with Italian Seasonings
- Pour the entire jar of banana peppers over the chicken.
- Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours
- When cooking time is complete, remove chicken from the crockpot and shred with two forks. Then return to the crockpot to reheat and soak up juices.
